Replace the chaos with a system
Most ECU tuning businesses still run file requests through WhatsApp threads, email chains, and shared folders. Every job starts with back-and-forth to collect vehicle specs, ECU type, and the original file. Things get lost. Customers get frustrated. You spend time you should not have to spend.
EcuChipService replaces all of that with a structured submission workflow. Customers handle the data entry. You open a clean job, fully configured and ready to work.
How a submission works
Step 1 — File upload
The customer uploads their original ECU binary using a drag-and-drop interface. Supported formats cover the full range of tools your customers work with:
.bin, .ori, .org, .mod, .hex, .frf, .kess, .ktag, .damos, .a2l, .sgo
Maximum file size is 50 MB. A SHA-256 hash is calculated automatically on upload so you can verify file integrity end-to-end.
Step 2 — Vehicle and ECU details
The customer fills in all the information you need to start tuning, without you having to ask:
- Vehicle type (Car, Truck, Motorcycle, Tractor, Agricultural Machinery, or Generic)
- Tool type: Master or Slave
- Make, model, and model year
- Customer reference number (optional, for their own tracking)
- ECU model and type
- Read method — chosen from a searchable list of 30+ options including ALIENTECH K-TAG, KESS V2, Bitbox, CMD Flash, MPPS, FGTech Galletto, Auto Tuner, and more
- Engine type, code, displacement, horsepower, and gearbox type
- Any additional notes
Everything is structured. Nothing arrives as a voice note.
Step 3 — Tuning package selection
Customers choose what they want tuned directly in the submission form. You control what they can choose from: you define the vehicle types, the tuning packages, and the individual options — they pick from your catalogue.
Two modes are available:
- Package mode — customers select a pre-built tuning bundle (e.g. Stage 1 Performance Tune) with optional add-ons
- Options mode — customers build à la carte from your individual tuning options
Credit costs are shown in real time, with the customer's current balance visible throughout. They cannot submit if they lack the credits — no awkward conversations about payment after the fact.
Step 4 — Review and confirm
Before submitting, the customer sees a full summary of everything: vehicle details, tuning selection, credit cost, and terms. A single checkbox and a confirm click — the job is in your queue.
Your workflow as a tuner
When a submission arrives, you see:
- Vehicle specs and ECU details, fully filled in
- The original file, ready to download
- Which tuning package and options were selected
- Credit cost already deducted from the customer's balance
- The customer's notes
You start the job, upload the modified file when it is ready, and mark it complete. The customer gets notified automatically.
Built-in messaging
Every submission has a message thread. You and the customer can exchange messages and attach files directly inside the portal — no need to switch to email or WhatsApp. Engineers and customers see the thread from their own perspective, with role labels keeping communication clear.
Submission status — no more "is it done yet?"
Each submission moves through three states: Pending → In Progress → Completed. Customers can see their status at any time from their dashboard. When you complete a job, they receive an automatic notification and can download the tuned file immediately.
Cancel a job if needed — the system asks for a reason, which is stored against the submission for transparency.
Full history on both sides
You see every submission your business has processed, filterable by status, searchable by customer reference, vehicle, ECU model, and more. Customers see their own complete history — every job, every file, every message.
Organised from the first submission. No folders, no spreadsheets, no lost threads.
